We are looking for a Senior Manager, Information Compliance - Privacy & AI Governance to join our Legal, Compliance & Risk function as part of the Information Compliance Team.
This senior individual contributor role is designed for a legal/privacy professional with strong exposure to technology, AI, data-driven tools, and digital business models. You do not need to be an engineer or have a technical degree, but you should be comfortable discussing data flows, AI-enabled workflows, SaaS/cloud tools, access rights, retention, vendor integrations, and technical and organizational measures with engineers, IT, security, data/AI teams, consultants, and business stakeholders.
The role balances two equally important areas: core privacy and information compliance responsibility across the business, and practical AI governance advisory for internal and client-facing use cases. You will translate GDPR/EU privacy, confidentiality, contractual, and internal policy requirements into pragmatic guidance, governance processes, and controls that teams can implement.
This is a strong opportunity to develop deep, group-wide data privacy expertise and responsibility while helping shape responsible AI governance in a global consultancy.

-
Partner credibly with technical teams. Work directly with engineers, IT, Information Security, data/AI teams, consultants, and product owners to understand how solutions work and help shape compliant, business-friendly approaches.
-
Build scalable governance. Develop practical playbooks, checklists, standards, and review patterns that help teams apply Privacy by Design, Governance by Design, Security by Design, and Responsible AI principles consistently.
About you:

5-8+ years of relevant experience in data protection, privacy, technology law, AI governance, legal/compliance, information compliance, or a related field.
-
Legal background required, for example through legal training, a degree in law or business law, an LL.M., qualification as Wirtschaftsjurist/in, or comparable professional experience in data protection, privacy, technology law, or compliance.
-
Strong understanding of GDPR, EU privacy requirements, confidentiality obligations, and risk-based compliance. Familiarity with German data protection requirements is a plus.
-
Experience advising on technology-related legal or compliance topics, ideally in a technology company, startup, consulting firm, SaaS environment, digital business, or technology-focused professional services environment.
-
Technology fluency and curiosity: able to discuss data flows, AI-enabled workflows, SaaS/cloud tools, access rights, retention, logging, vendor integrations, and technical and organizational measures with technical teams.
-
Practical familiarity with AI or generative AI use cases and related legal/privacy risks, including data sourcing, prompt and output handling, human oversight, vendor use, confidentiality, and monitoring.
-
Strong judgment, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to balance legal risk, business needs, practical implementation, and responsible innovation.
-
Professional fluency in English and at least one additional EU language is required. German language skills are a plus but not required.
