Preschool teachers lead instruction to children aged 18 months - 4 years, using an age-appropriate curriculum provided by the School.
Key duties include:

Plan instruction to meet individual, group, and program needs according to the School's expectations for the age level.

Select appropriate resources to meet those needs.

Identify and communicate specific student performance expectations.

Document student learning by creating a portfolio and using appropriate assessment instruments.

Use a variety of materials, resources, and technology that promote the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and performance skills.

Select, evaluate, and refine a variety of teaching methods and strategies for active student participation and improvement of student learning.

Create learning experiences that make the subject matter meaningful for all students.

Work in partnership with parents, communicating regularly to build mutual understanding and greater consistency for children.

Monitor student understanding.

Ensure a supportive, safe learning environment.

Collaborate with Classroom Assistants and volunteers.

Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of the preschool programs.

Promote the School in a positive manner, including carrying a professional attitude into community activities.

Demonstrate a consistent and professional attitude toward the accomplishment of school and program goals.

Supervised by the School Director.

Qualifications:

Working hours:
We are closed on German and American holidays. The position averages 20-30 hours per week depending on the agreed-upon schedule.
