Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a global Compensation & Benefits (C&B) strategy and initiatives aligned with business goals and organizational growth and serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and Top Management on all Compensation & Benefits matters.
- Design, implement, and continuously optimize compensation and benefits programs, including: Base salary structures, short- and long-term incentive and bonus programs, annual salary review cycles
- Lead and govern job evaluation frameworks to ensure fair, market-aligned, and internally consistent remuneration.
- Lead the implementation, standardization, and optimization of global C&B policies, processes, and programs.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, collective agreements, regulations, and employment practices across all countries of operation.
- Oversight and management of German pension schemes (betriebliche Altersversorgung).
- Experience in Tarifverträge (collective bargaining agreements) and ERA (Entgelt-Rahmenabkommen) systems.
- Develop and maintain HR and Compensation Reporting, including key metrics to assess effectiveness, cost, competitiveness, and trends and conduct benchmarking against industry standards, market developments, and best practices.
- Provide expert guidance and support on employee and industrial relations related to Compensation & Benefits topics.
- Manage and develop relationships with external vendors and HR service providers (e.g., benefits providers, consultants, insurers).
- Stay up to date with global and local HR regulations, labor laws, and compensation-related requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance and best practice implementation.
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field; advanced qualifications preferred.
- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in Compensation & Benefits, including responsibilites in a global or international environment.
- Strong expertise in: Global C&B strategy and execution, job evaluation and grading systems, Bonus and incentive design, Executive compensation
- Knowledge of German labor law, pension systems, Tarifverträge, and ERA frameworks.
- Proven experience with HR analytics, benchmarking, and HR system implementations.
