An international manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Interim Technical & Commercial Project Manager to support the execution of a process manufacturing facility expansion in Eastern Canada.
The assignment covers the realization phase of the project, including detailed engineering, procurement support, installation, commissioning, qualification, and operational handover.
Deliver the project safely, on schedule, within the approved commercial framework, and in accordance with the required quality and regulatory standards.
The basic engineering has already been completed, covering process water systems, mixing and filling concepts, cleaning systems, utilities, and controlled production areas.
The project has entered an optimization phase, focusing on value engineering, selective reduction of automation, and efficient implementation while maintaining the required operational and quality standards.
The Interim Project Manager will act as the owner's representative and assume overall responsibility for coordinating all technical and commercial project activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Overall project coordination throughout the execution phase.

Management of scope, schedule, budget, and project risks.

Coordination of engineering partners, contractors, and equipment suppliers.

Monitoring supplier performance, commercial agreements, and cost development.

Coordination of installation, commissioning, qualification, and final handover.

Ensuring compliance with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
The Interim Project Manager will report to the client's project leadership and local site management while working closely with all internal and external project stakeholders
- Degree in Engineering or a comparable technical discipline preferred.

Demonstrated experience in managing CAPEX projects within process manufacturing industries.

Experience in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, healthcare products, food & beverage, specialty chemicals, or similar regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Practical experience in one or more of the following areas is advantageous:
- Batch manufacturing processes

Mixing and processing technologies

Water treatment and utility systems

Hygienic production facilities

Validation and qualification

CIP/SIP systems
-
Controlled manufacturing environments

Industrial automation
- Fluent English is mandatory

Work permit for Canada is a big advantage
