A clear and optimized tax strategy is of great importance to every (international) organization. As Global Tax Specialist you provide competent technical advice on tax matters, set up tax strategies, support with tax audits and transfer pricing, both on local and international level.

Your responsibilities
- Developing and executing a global tax strategy, in consultation with the Global Head of Finance
- Performing autonomously international and domestic tax planning
- Recommending actions to optimize aspects of internal tax policies
- Providing value-added insight and advice on tax implications of business decisions
- Developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive transfer pricing policy
- Supporting the sales & operations managers and the finance department in tax matters related to international business relations and transactions
- Ensuring proper transaction flows are being implemented across the group and proper documentation is put in place and kept up-to-date
- Ensuring and managing compliance with applicable tax regulations
- Supervising and assisting in tax audits to address potential issues, minimize litigations and to achieve the best possible outcome when disputes arise
- Reporting: reports follow-ups on tax compliance across the group, reports related party transactions as required by regulations, compiling country-by-country tax reporting, managing the effective tax rate of the group
- Maintaining relationships with external tax advisors/tax authorities to ensure the highest quality service
Your profile
We are looking for a proactive and result driven Tax Expert. You are a critical person with excellent analytical skills with the capacity to formulate clear and good advice to others. Your strong communication skills and your diplomacy allow you to adapt to different situations and cultures and to establish strong relationships. You're a hands-on and cost-conscious problem solver who strives to create added value for the company through smart tax strategies.
- Master's degree in law, economics, ideally with an extra degree in Taxation
- 7+ years working experience in a multinational producing industry
- Strong understanding of taxes and accounting
- Financial analysis concepts and applications – broad knowledge required in areas such as project analysis (NPV, IRR, payback), operational analysis including currency, M&A analysis, etc.
- Business acumen
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills
- Presentation skills and comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization
- Leadership – Build up a strong connection within the region and with Corporate to make sure the processes work in a proper way. Influence and advice the Local Leadership on the best way to run the business from the taxes and financial results point of view.
