We have an exciting opportunity as Senior Specialist Finance Accounting Treasury (all genders welcome)
at the Kia Connect GmbH in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Job mission:
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely and scalable accounting processes across Kia Connect's European digital services and e-mobility business, including EV charging activities.
The role contributes to the efficient execution and continuous improvement of core accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger processes. This includes ensuring compliant financial accounting, transparent account balances, timely closing activities and reliable financial reporting for both B2B and B2C business models.
In addition, you will contribute to the standardization, automation and ongoing enhancement of finance processes and systems, supporting the sustainable growth of Kia Connect's multi-country digital services business.
Your Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, payroll-related accounting topics and other financial transactions.
Ensure accurate and timely accounting in accordance with local GAAP/HGB requirements and internal company policies.
Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation, review and reconciliation of relevant accounts.
Record and review special accounting topics in SAP in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist in maintaining automated posting processes, including controls and checks to ensure accurate and complete financial postings.
Support the continuous improvement of accounting processes and related system functionalities.
Collaborate closely with Kia Connect departments on Accounts Payable topics, including invoice processing, approvals, cost allocation and clarification of invoice-related queries.
Support vendor master data processes and ensure compliance with internal approval requirements before payments are processed.
Review AP ageing, blocked invoices and pending approvals on a regular basis.
Support audit preparation by providing documentation, explanations and accounting evidence to internal and external auditors.
Treasury (Focus)
Prepare regular cash flow planning and reporting.
Support liquidity monitoring and cash reporting activities.
Prepare and process payment runs in accordance with internal approval procedures.
Support the monitoring of bank accounts, payment status and treasury-related documentation.
Financial Processes, Systems and Policies (Focus)
Support the establishment, maintenance and improvement of finance policies, procedures and internal controls.
Supports the continuous improvement of ERP systems and finance-related processes to enhance efficiency, scalability and compliance.
Support process automation and optimization initiatives within the finance function.
Tax (Supportive)
Prepare reports and supporting documentation required for VAT filing under the guidance of the responsible tax team.
Support the reconciliation of VAT-relevant accounts and transactions.
Ensure that VAT-related data and reports are complete, accurate and provided in a timely manner.
Financial Management and Reporting (Supportive)
Monitor the company’s financial status and performance and support the identification of areas for improvement.
Support preparation of financial reports related to budgets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses and other relevant financial topics.
Validate financial data and ensure that reported figures are accurate, complete and reasonable.
Support regular financial reporting to regional and global headquarters.
Prepare status reports, management reports and ad hoc analyses as required.
Support the identification and assessment of financial risks and contribute to measures to minimize such risks.
Business Partner (Supportive)
Support financial analysis related to business cases, market developments and operational performance.
Support financial analysis related to accounting impacts, financial performance and operational reporting.
Your talents:
Education:
University degree (Preferably in Finance or Business) or comparable accounting qualification.
Additional training in Accounting or Tax area (e.g., Finanzbuchhalter) highly beneficial
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in a finance role in an international environment
Experience with high-volume transaction environments, digital services, subscription-based business models, e-commerce or mobility services is an advantage
Experience with SAP FI preferred
Skills Knowledge Competencies:
Solid understanding of accounting principles, including German GAAP/HGB
Strong accounting and financial analysis skills, including experience working with financial data and reporting.
Being innovative and thinking out of the box
Ability to understand the broader business context and translate operational accounting requirements into effective financial processes.
Commercial and business awareness
Good communication skills – both written and verbal
Good computer skills (MS-Office), especially Excel, and knowledge of SAP preferable
German language skills at minimum C1 level are mandatory due to regular communication with German-speaking stakeholders, authorities and service providers.
Fluent in English language (spoken written) is also required.
