Based in the Faculty of Management and Information Systems at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences, this professorship covers the fields of Transport Technology and Safety in Logistics. A laboratory for Safety in Logistics is attached to the post.

Your responsibilities include, amongst other things:
- Teaching in the areas of transport, transhipment and conveyor technology, transport and traffic systems, combined transport, cargo securing, safety engineering, risk assessment, hazardous substances and dangerous goods, quality management and, depending on your profile and departmental needs, fundamental engineering subjects such as mathematics, CAD and technical mechanics.
- Supervising student projects, Bachelor's and Master's theses, internships and study-abroad placements.
- Participating in the university’s self-governing bodies.
- Contributing actively to the continuous development of teaching and student support as well as to the establishment and maintenance of partnerships with industry and other higher education institutions.
- Maintaining a regular 4 days per week on-campus presence for teaching, examinations, consultation hours and participation in academic self-governance. Teaching exclusively in block format is not envisaged.
