Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Biotechnology, or a related field
Hands-on experience with bioinformatics tools, pipelines, and public databases such as BLAST, NCBI, UniProt, KEGG, or similar resources
Proficiency in Python and relevant bioinformatics libraries (e.g., Biopython) for data analysis and workflow development
Experience with database querying, data parsing, API integration, and structured data formats such as JSON and XML
Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting abilities, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working at the interface of biology and data science, with a passion for turning complex biological data into meaningful insights
Team-oriented mindset combined with initiative, reliability, and a hands-on approach to scientific discovery
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written); German is a plus
