This is a hybrid position requiring the team memeber to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide strategic advice to senior leadership and management on all matters relating to occupational health and safety
Further develop and implement the site-wide Health & Safety strategy in alignment with corporate objectives
Ensure legally compliant implementation of all occupational health and safety requirements
Manage and continuously improve the occupational health and safety management system
Conduct risk analyses at a strategic level and derive preventive action programs
Assess new technologies, equipment, and processes from a safety engineering perspective
Lead and/or facilitate accident investigations, including root cause analysis, and derive sustainable corrective actions
Further develop the safety culture through targeted communication and training measures
Lead or actively participate in the Occupational Safety Committee
Professionally represent the company in dealings with authorities, employers’ liability insurance associations, and external inspection bodies
Support internal and external audits
Education
Completed technical degree (e.g., engineering, safety engineering, or comparable)
Recognized qualification as an occupational safety specialist in accordance with the German Occupational Safety and Health Act (ASiG) / DGUV Regulation 2
Work Experience
At least 3-5 years of professional experience in an industrial, ideally regulated environment
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Very good knowledge of occupational health and safety law
Knowledge of corporate environmental protection, particularly in immission control law, e.g., BImSchG, or environmental management, e.g., ISO 14001, is desirable
Experience working with authorities and external audit partners
Strategic thinking, strong advisory skills, and confident presence at management level
Structured, solution-oriented way of working with a high degree of personal initiative
Very good written and spoken German and English skills
Pay Transparency:
The annual base salary range for this position is €62.500,00 - €79.600,00. Total target compensation is determined using objective and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, market benchmarks, geographic location, and the scope and responsibilities of the role.
This position may be eligible for variable compensation and other incentive programs in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans within the country of employment. In addition, team members are eligible to participate in the company’s benefits and total rewards programs applicable to their location and employment status.
