We are seeking a Senior Operations Officer to join our client’s Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC), based in Munich, Germany.
This role is centred on the assessment and the response of the Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) to threats, incidents and crisis. Working complementarily with an Intelligence team, the successful candidate will play a critical role in assessing, ensuring a coordinated response on threats, incidents and crisis.
As a senior member of the team, you will also contribute to the development of operational response processes across the organisation, helping to shape the strategic direction of the GSOC.
This is a duty-based position, requiring on-site presence at the client’s Munich office at the beginning, with potential flexible arrangement in the longer term.

- Oversee and coordinate the implementation of operational security and incident management measures based on intelligence assessments, emerging risks, and operational priorities, in close collaboration with stakeholders

Develop, reinforce, and continuously improve security and incident management operational processes, including procedures, playbooks, escalation thresholds, standards, and quality assurance mechanisms.

Manage the day-to-day GSOC operational capabilities, including monitoring, team scheduling, incident intake, triage, escalation protocols, coordination routines, and operational reporting.

Lead the response to threats, incidents and coordinate with crisis management, intelligence, business continuity, and relevant business teams to ensure timely and proportionate action.

Ensure structured and proactive collaboration with a multiplicity of internal stakeholders.

Ensure the availability, functionality, and integrity of systems and operational tools, including mass notification systems, travel security monitoring, emergency response plans, incident management tools, and related platforms.

Provide clear operational updates, briefings, situation reports, after-action summaries, and decision-support inputs to senior leadership during routine operations, major events, and high-pressure incidents.

Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships with global stakeholders, business, central functions, vendors, technology partners, emergency response partners, and relevant external stakeholders.

Conduct drills, table-top exercises, readiness checks, and operational preparedness reviews for high-impact events, crisis scenarios, travel disruptions, major incidents, and periods of heightened threat.

Track, analyse, and report operational KPIs, including incident response times, system uptime, escalation performance, exercise outcomes, vendor SLA compliance, service quality, and other relevant performance indicators.

Identify opportunities to optimise processes, enhance efficiency, strengthen resilience, improve service quality, and reinforce the company posture in a holistic and risk-informed manner.

Safeguard sensitive information and ensure adherence to confidentiality, data protection, operational security, information-sharing, and governance protocols.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in security management, emergency management, criminal justice, or a related field, and/or equivalent experience gained in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or comparable operational security environments.

8+ years of experience in physical security operations, incident and crisis management, with proven leadership of regional or global operational teams;

Proven leadership experience managing security operations centres, control rooms, or equivalent 24/7 operational environments in the public and/or private sector.

High-level project management skills with demonstrated ability to set and meet priorities under pressure and manage competing operational demands.

Strong knowledge of incident management, travel security, emergency response, executive protection, event security, and crisis management frameworks.

Proficiency in security technologies and platforms and in their integration, including mass notification systems, incident management tools, travel security platforms, and threat monitoring solutions.

Solid understanding of cross-border and hybrid threat environments, including physical, cyber, and reputational dimensions relevant to multinational organizations.

Excellent ability to deliver clear operational briefings to senior leadership, influence decision-making under pressure, and build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across global teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with fluency in at least one additional regional language; German fluency is a plus.
