Systems Engineering Manager - Telecom Satellite Programs (m/f/d)
Your Tasks
- Technical and organizational management of System Engineers in their respective assignments on the project, initially in phase B1 and later in phase B2/C/D), providing the guidance to achieve the mission technical objectives

Act as interface to the project management and to the customer for any technical questions

Define the system requirements (including verification approach), coordinated with the project management

Evaluate/challenge the running development and technical design, including independent analyses according to system requirements and suggest/undertake corrective steps in case of deviations

Define the systems engineering processes in order to organise and coordinate the work between the company entities (SE, ENG, AIT, PA/QA and SCM) and the Project Management

Ensure technical information exchange and networking within project team, with Telecom Systems as well functional/engineering departments

Organise regular checkpoints during the project, integrate cost- and technical budget contributions to establish the overall budgets on system level

Responsible for the timely delivery of inputs/outputs of the system engineering team

Support the project management in the risk assessment, cost structure and overall planning

Cooperate with the payload department in telecom and the other satellite engineering department on the satellite design

Support studies and projects related to telecom systems business

Support cost optimization of the OHB telecommunication platform products
Your Qualifications
-
Master degree in engineering, physics or aerospace engineering or equivalent qualification
-
At least 5 experience in space business as technical/system lead in proposal, studies (phase A/B) and projects (phase B2/C/D)
- Experience in system engineering from mission definition (including constellation) and satellite/platform/subsystems design including AIV/AIT phase

Experience in the technical fields of space communication systems especially Telecommunication satellite

Strong self-motivation and ability to identify personally with the goals

Strong capability to challenge the technical baseline and propose/undertake corrective actions

Very good communication skills and ability to work in a team

Very good knowledge of English, German is an added value
