Workplace Furniture Solutions
Leggett & Platt is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of office furniture components and mechanism. Our Work Furniture business produces task and finished components, as well as select lines of private label finished seating. From surface-critical bent tube assemblies and molded plywood components to chair mechanisms, bases, arms, seats, and backs, Work Furniture brings diverse world-class manufacturing capabilities together in the production and assembly of high-quality contract furniture products.

As a(n) Accountant, you will perform all accounting activities for the timely preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and internal guidelines; comprehensive support and processing of all payment flows with customers and suppliers. Preparing wage and salary-related information for further processing by the tax advisor.
Main tasks:
Accounting / Monthly and annual financial statements
- Review of AP and receipts from a VAT perspective
- Account assignment and recording of incoming invoices
- Posting bank statements
- Checking and posting travel expense reports
- Cash management
- Preparing and executing payment transactions
- Accounts receivables management, monitoring of open items and collection activities
- Assistance with asset accounting, recording and management of assets
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Support with internal audits
- Maintenance of customer and supplier master data in accordance with internal guidelines
- Review of credit limits
- Submitting monthly VAT returns and ZM reports
HR
- Maintaining employee master data in the company's HR system (LP Core)
- Communicating changes to employee master data to the third-party payroll provider
- Reconciling payroll accounts
- Maintaining work time data (program: Fine Time for Windows)
- Preparing payroll accounting for the third-party payroll provider
Reporting
- Reporting as part of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reporting Weekly AR Report
- Preparation of Intrastat reports
Additional cross-departmental tasks:
