For our Corporate Strategic Initiatives department we are looking for a Senior Manager M&A Projects & Integration (m/f/d).
The position is to be filled at our headquarters in Mannheim.
In this role, you will shape complex M&A transactions and integrations that are critical to PHOENIX Group’s strategic diversification. You act as a central orchestrator across corporate functions, business units, and geographies, ensuring value creation from deal rationale through successful integration.
- Orchestrate complex M&A projects in PHOENIX Group’s diversification areas from pre-signing through closing and post-merger integration

Ensure establishment of integration governance including tracking for M&A projects

Drive integration planning with a strong focus on synergy identification, validation, and realization tracking

Further develop and institutionalize PHOENIX Group’s integration governance standards and best practices

Ensure consideration of merger control and regulatory workstreams in M&A projects, in close collaboration with Legal, Tax, Finance, and external advisors
Act as a trusted sparring partner for all project participants, including senior stakeholders such as country management and PHOENIX Group Executive Board

- Excellent university degree; a double degree or PhD is a strong plus

Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, including responsibility as project lead or PMO for complex M&A transactions and post-merger integrations

Solid Experience in the healthcare and/or logistics sector preferred

Exposure to regulatory filings and merger control processes is highly desirable

Strong analytical and structured mindset with a hands-on, solution-oriented working style

Outstanding communication skills and the ability to navigate effectively across corporate functions and business units

Business-fluent in English and one additional language desirable
