Job Summary
T3i is seeking Physical Therapists (PTs) to support embedded Human Performance Optimization (HPO) programs within Air Force Special Warfare, Air Ground Operations, and other military high-performance communities. Working directly with Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) operators, aircrew, and other tactical athletes, the PT will deliver evidence-based musculoskeletal care, injury prevention, rehabilitation, performance optimization, and return-to-duty services designed to enhance readiness, improve durability, and extend career longevity.
The PT will serve as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team that may include Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists, Athletic Trainers, Performance Dietitians, Resilience & Performance Coaches, Operational Psychologists, and military leadership.
Candidates will be evaluated against the specific requirements of each opportunity. Hiring is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive musculoskeletal and movement assessments
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat neuromusculoskeletal conditions within scope of practice
- Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation and return-to-duty plans
- Deliver injury prevention, recovery, and performance optimization services
- Identify and address movement limitations, injury risk factors, and readiness concerns
- Collaborate with Strength & Conditioning Specialists and other HP professionals to support integrated care plans
- Provide patient education on injury prevention, recovery, mobility, and performance enhancement
- Advise leadership on injury trends and opportunities to improve readiness and reduce lost duty time
- Maintain required clinical documentation and reporting requirements
- Participate in program development, education, and performance initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited program
- Current unrestricted Physical Therapist license in at least one U.S. state or territory
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Minimum two (OCONUS) years of full-time clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
- Ability to pass required background screening and obtain installation access
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5)+ years of experience supporting tactical, military, collegiate, professional, or other high-performance populations
- Board Certification (OCS, SCS, or equivalent)
- Dry Needling Certification
- Experience supporting Department of Defense Human Performance programs
- Experience working within an integrated multidisciplinary performance team
- Experience with return-to-duty, return-to-sport, or occupational rehabilitation programs
- Experience utilizing objective performance testing and movement analysis

T3i Drug Free Workplace Statement: As a Federal Government Contractor, T3i is required to strictly adhere to federally mandated drug-free workplace standards.
