We are looking for a Senior HR Specialist to join our growing organization and become the key local HR reference point for Germany and Austria.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced HR professional who is ready to take ownership of a broad HR scope, contribute to building local HR processes from the ground up, and play an active role in a dynamic business environment currently undergoing strong expansion.
The role will report directly to the Affiliates HR Manager, based in Switzerland, and will work closely with local management, employees, external providers and Group HR functions.
Your Responsibilities
As Senior HR Specialist Germany & Austria, you will manage a wide range of HR activities across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring a high-quality, reliable and employee-oriented HR service.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end-to-end recruitment process for Germany and Austria, from role briefing and candidate sourcing to interviews, offer management and onboarding.
- Acting as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related topics, providing guidance and support on policies, processes and employment-related matters.
- Coordinating payroll activities in collaboration with the external payroll provider, ensuring accurate and timely payroll inputs, checks and follow-up.
- Managing HR administration and employment documentation, including contracts, amendments, letters, certificates and other employee-related documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with local labour law requirements, internal policies and company procedures.
- Supporting the implementation and improvement of HR processes, tools and standards at local level.
- Supporting managers in employee relations topics, performance-related discussions and day-to-day people management matters.
- Identifying training needs in collaboration with managers and supporting the planning and coordination of learning initiatives.
- Managing relationships with external stakeholders, such as payroll providers, legal advisors, occupational health providers, authorities and other relevant partners.
- Maintaining accurate employee data and HR records, ensuring high data quality and confidentiality.
- Supporting compensation, benefits, performance management and engagement initiatives in alignment with Group HR guidelines.
- Contributing to local HR projects and supporting the development of a solid HR framework for Germany and Austria.
Your Profile
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on HR professional with a strong generalist background and the ability to operate independently in a fast-growing environment.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Solid experience in a broad HR generalist role, ideally within an international or matrix organization.
- Strong knowledge of German labour law; knowledge of Austrian employment regulations would be a plus.
- Good payroll understanding and previous experience coordinating payroll activities with external providers.
- Experience in recruitment, HR administration, employee relations and HR process management.
- Previous exposure to training coordination, learning initiatives or people development activities.
- Strong passion for HR and genuine interest in supporting employees and managers.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively and manage multiple topics in parallel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to build trusted relationships across different stakeholders.
- Positive attitude, flexibility and willingness to learn.
- Proactive approach, problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Fluent German and good English skills are required.
