The internship assignment:
Gigafactory Engineering is looking for an innovative intern to join our Process Design team in Gigafactory Berlin. The process design team drives to create the factory of the future by bringing conceptual designs to life, producing cutting-edge detailed design of chemical and utility systems that are fully integrated with manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do-
Support an engineering team with creating novel detailed designs for a wide range of process engineering systems from gases to high purity water, involving unit operations such as pump and compressor systems, reverse osmosis, heat transfer fluid systems, etc.

Assist in developing and improving calculation tools, like pressure losses, slope calculations etc.

Rework of existing standards and specifications like internal valve specification catalogues.

Feasibility studies of systems and components.

Life cycle assessment of components.
What You'll Bring-
Very good knowledge of English, German is a benefit.

Basic experience knowledge of Autodesk software foremost with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks.

Open to work with AI tool and agents.

Structured work around and concepts for documentation.

Background in Mechanical or Process Piping engineering.

Ability to take over the ownership and responsibility of a subject and to follow up multiple issues.

Familiar with some typical equipment and technologies, like compressed air, handling industrial gases, waste and pure water treatment and distribution, piping specifications, heat transfer tools etc. and the physical principles behind.
