About the Job
The Strategy Transformation Office in the CEO area is where this transformation is orchestrated. In your role as Transformation Manager, you will be part of the strategy execution team of one of the world's largest captive IT shared service providers, helping to drive our transformation agenda from strategy through to measurable impact. A core part of your remit is owning the end-to-end delivery of transformation initiatives — typically one or more at a time, with their scope and number evolving as the transformation portfolio. You will drive execution, mobilise stakeholders across functions, manage risks and interdependencies, and ensure the committed value is realised. Depending on the assignment, you may operate directly out of the Transformation Office or be embedded in a business function while retaining a functional reporting line to the Chief Strategy Transformation Officer (CSTO).
What you do
- Own the end-to-end delivery and outcomes of one or more initiatives in the Allianz Technology transformation portfolio, from initiation to stabilization - on time, on budget, and with measurable benefits. Translate strategy into structured mandates, roadmaps and execution plans, defining scope, milestones, dependencies and delivery model.
- Drive execution across workstreams, mobilizing workstream leaders, execution teams and stakeholders and securing their commitment. Establish and run the governance for your area of responsibility (Steering Committees with the relevant Sponsor, reviews, working sessions), prepare decision materials, and drive issue and risk escalation and resolution.
- Define and monitor KPIs/OKRs and benefits-realization plans; track and report progress, deliverables and value to senior leadership and the EMT.
- Manage risks, issues and interdependencies within and across the transformation portfolio, flagging them early and providing mitigation plans; maintain an audit-ready documentation set.
- Coordinate closely with key stakeholders to manage cross-workstream dependencies, sequencing and consistency with the target architecture. Plan and execute change management, communication and training related to your area of responsibility.
- Manage the finances and resources within your scope, ensuring transparency of spend, forecast and value delivery in support of the portfolio's value ambition. Promote continuous improvement and lessons learned to refine transformation methods and tooling.
- Contribute to the broader strategy-execution agenda of the Transformation Office beyond your assigned initiatives — including portfolio-level analysis, methodology and other priorities that emerge as the transformation evolves.
What you bring
- Degree or equivalent professional experience in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, IT Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years leading complex transformation or large-scale change initiatives in technology/operations; consulting, financial services, or multinational-organization experience is a plus.
- Strong end-to-end delivery track record with hybrid methods (Agile/Waterfall), governance design and benefits realization; PMP/PRINCE2/PMI-ACP/SAFe certifications are advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across functions.
- Solid financial and analytical skills to build business cases, track value, and make data-driven decisions; fluent in English (German is a plus).
- Experience in change management and adoption planning, including crisis and escalation management, and familiarity with European regulatory expectations.
- Self-motivation and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of AI technologies and their practical application, and a keen interest in how AI reshapes IT delivery and economics.
What we offer
- We offer a hybrid work model which recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working incl. up to 25 days per year working from abroad.
- We believe in rewarding performance and our compensation and benefits package includes a company bonus scheme, pension, employee shares program and multiple employee discounts (details vary by location).
- From career development and digital learning programs to international career mobility, we offer lifelong learning for our employees worldwide and an environment where innovation, delivery and empowerment are fostered.
- Flexible working, health and wellbeing offers (including healthcare and parental leave benefits) support to balance family and career and help our people return from career breaks with experience that nothing else can teach.
