In this role, you will manage and coordinate our shipping and logistics processes and ensure the smooth flow of goods both domestically and across Europe. You will work closely with internal teams and external transportation providers and actively contribute to optimizing our processes.
Your responsibilities at a glance:
Shipping and Transportation Processing
Preparation of shipping documents (delivery notes & waybills)
Booking and coordination of shipments within Germany and throughout Europe
Organization and handling of special trips
Calculation and Analysis of Transportation Costs
Scheduling and Fleet Management
Planning, management, and organization of the vehicle fleet and daily transportation
Coordination and negotiation with freight forwarders and transportation service providers
Empty Container and Pallet Management
Management, maintenance, and reconciliation of pallet and rental equipment accounts
Arranging pickups and orders for returnable containers
Recording of returned bottles and conducting inventory counts
Business and administrative tasks
Booking and Processing Returns
Verification of the accuracy and correctness of shipping invoices
Documentation and maintenance of relevant processes
Quality and Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Reporting, Processing, and Tracking of Shipping Damage
Close collaboration with internal departments and external partners
Support and guidance for trainees, including evaluation
Assuming responsibilities in the area of exports
This position requires a structured, independent approach to work, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication skills in a dynamic logistics environment.
You have a solid background in business administration and, ideally, experience in the shipping or logistics field. You have a structured and reliable approach to your work, particularly when dealing with administrative processes and IT systems.
Professional Qualifications
Successfully completed commercial training, ideally as a freight forwarding agent or in a comparable field
Relevant professional experience in shipping, export, or freight forwarding
IT & System Skills
Proficiency in using common Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
User experience with SAP, preferably in logistics-related modules
Approach & Expertise
A structured, meticulous, and self-reliant approach to work
Strong organizational skills and a good understanding of logistical processes
