This is your job:
As a building technician, you’ll keep our 155-room hotel running smoothly – working independently, from the basement to the roof. You’ll report directly to our Director.
You’ll regularly maintain and inspect our systems and equipment – electrical, plumbing and air conditioning/ventilation are all part of your remit.
You resolve faults quickly, roll up your sleeves and find practical solutions.
You manage external partners yourself: where necessary, you bring them in, coordinate their work and monitor the quality.
You check all areas of the hotel for safety and take immediate action if anything is amiss.
For our guests, you are a friendly point of contact for any questions about the hotel.
Qualifications
What you bring to the role:
Technical skills in electrical work, plumbing or air conditioning/ventilation – ideally with experience in building services or domestic engineering.
Career changers welcome: if you have a solid technical background, you’ll be right at home with us.
You work independently, are solution-oriented and reliable, and keep a clear head even in stressful situations.
A sense of responsibility – the hotel is in good hands with you.
A friendly manner towards guests and colleagues.
Willingness to work the odd weekend – our hotel is open to guests seven days a week.
Additional Information
Your team & your working environment:
You’ll be joining an ambitious team that’s genuinely passionate about their work. Together, we’ve achieved a great deal in a short space of time: improved figures, modernised rooms, and the upgrade from 2 to 3.5 stars. The lobby and public areas are also constantly evolving – they’re becoming more attractive step by step. If you’d like to help shape this journey from a technical perspective and truly see ‘your’ hotel as your own, you’ll be a perfect fit for us.
Diversity & Inclusion:
We’re an employer that embraces diversity. We want to attract and nurture talent from a wide variety of backgrounds, and offer them an environment where everyone can contribute. What matters to us is who you are and what you can do.
