As a Pre-Sales Expert (f/m/d) for Gas Analytics, you will serve as the technical backbone of our customer engagement process. You will analyze incoming customer requests — whether through structured questionnaires or customer-provided technical documentation such as PDFs, emails, or data sheets — and translate them into the optimal product configuration and solution approach.

You will make an impact by:

Analyzing and interpreting customer specification documents and technical questionnaires to extract key insights for gas analyzer selection

Translating customer requirements into optimal product configurations and matching them with the right technical solution

Identifying risks, gaps, and open questions beyond the written requirements — including process conditions, installation constraints, and application-specific challenges that need proactive clarification

Supporting the pre-sales process with technically sound recommendations and clear, structured documentation

Training and coaching regional sales colleagues by sharing application expertise and helping them better understand customer needs from the customer’s perspective

Engaging directly with customers to clarify requirements, discuss technical details, and build trust through deep technical expertise
This is how you'll win us over

Education: A degree (or equivalent qualification) in process engineering, chemical engineering, or a related technical field is preferred

Experience & Skills:
-
Solid hands-on experience in gas analysis, process engineering, chemical engineering, or a comparable technical field

Ideally, you have worked on the customer side — in a chemical plant, refinery, or similar industrial environment where gas analyzers were part of your day-to-day operations

Alternatively, you bring experience from a comparable organization in pre-sales, applications engineering, or technical sales support roles
