Technical Staff Member (m/f/d)
The position is assigned to the Professorship of Veterinary Pathology, Institute of Veterinary Pathology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Subject to the fulfilment of the relevant collective bargaining requirements, remuneration is according to pay grade 9a TV-H.
Your tasks at a glance
This collaboration is intended to provide technical support for the project “Unraveling the intestinal pathophysiology of Cryptosporidium infections in a neonatal mouse model: A multi-omics approach”
- Assist in project-based diagnostic pathology, especially in histological sample processing
- Support and help establish molecular methods in the field of histology
- Support animal husbandry, animal experiments, sample collection and documentation
- Contribute to project-based laboratory organisation, equipment management, ordering processes, quality management, SOP development, as well as occupational health and safety
Your qualifications and competences
- Completed relevant vocational training, e.g. as a biological, chemical or medical technical assistant, veterinary technical assistant, biology laboratory technician, or a comparable qualification
- Practical experience in histological and molecular biology methods
- Interest in molecular methods in the field of histology and in contributing to modern tissue-based technologies such as spatial transcriptomics
- Experience in working with laboratory animals; FELASA certification or comparable prior experience is desirable
- Careful, structured and independent working style combined with team spirit, reliability and organisational skills
- Good command of German
