Role is Munich based | Top Relocation Support
On behalf of our client—a fast-growing, Y Combinator-backed AI startup automating back-office workflows - we are currently recruiting a (Senior) AI/LLM Engineer (f/m/d).
In this high-impact position, you will take full ownership of building agentic AI systems end-to-end. Your scope covers everything from retrieval pipelines and LLM orchestration to tool-using agents and seamless product integration. You will design scalable architectures and automated feedback loops that transform complex, unstructured data into highly reliable, production-grade AI solutions.
We are looking for a highly committed, mission-driven engineer with a proven track record of deploying complex LLM-driven systems in production, expert hands-on Python programming skills, and the drive to work on-site in Munich in a high-intensity environment.
| WHAT YOU WILL DO
Assume complete end-to-end technical responsibility for constructing, scaling, and launching agentic AI systems.
Design and fine-tune retrieval systems, LLM orchestration frameworks, and self-contained, tool-utilizing AI agents.
Build and deploy robust infrastructures capable of handling, organizing, and ingesting vast amounts of unstructured information.
Create automated evaluation setups and feedback cycles to constantly assess and optimize the performance of AI models.
Guarantee the smooth and dependable integration of advanced AI functionalities straight into our primary user products.
Implement reliable monitoring, model serving, and observability systems for AI models operating in live production environments.
Foster swift prototyping, fast-paced iterations, and agile development practices within a highly dynamic startup setting.
| WHOM WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Demonstrated success in architecting, launching, and scaling intricate LLM-based systems and autonomous agents in real-world production environments.
Mandatory, expert-level proficiency and hands-on coding experience in Python.
Deep knowledge of creating solid data architectures that can effectively process and structure massive volumes of unstructured data.
Background in establishing automated benchmarking systems, evaluation frameworks, and continuous feedback loops for LLMs.
Outstanding sense of initiative and responsibility to independently guide sophisticated technical projects from initial idea to deployment.
A dedicated and robust mentality geared toward tackling difficult challenges in a rapid, high-growth atmosphere.
Excellent product intuition, allowing you to translate advanced AI engineering capabilities into tangible benefits for users.
Readiness to collaborate closely and face-to-face in our Munich office as part of a highly motivated, high-performance team.
Prior experience working across the full stack (particularly with React, TypeScript, and FastAPI) is highly beneficial.
| REMOTE WORK POLICY
In this role, you will work on-site from our office in Munich to maximize collaboration, fast execution, and team alignment.
Should you relocate or travel for this position, your relocation and travel expenses will, of course, be fully covered by our client.

Competitive salary up to €200k + equity (negotiable based on experience)
Real technical ownership over core AI products and agentic infrastructure from day one
The steepest possible learning curve within an ambitious, high-growth AI startup
Direct collaboration with an exceptional founder team and access to the prestigious Y Combinator network
Top-tier hardware and uncapped access to cutting-edge AI services, API credits, and tools
