Job Description
We are seeking an Onsite IT Support Engineer to provide technical support to users at a client site in Mannheim, Germany.
The role involves troubleshooting workplace technology, supporting hardware and software, managing IT service requests, and assisting with meeting room and collaboration technologies. The engineer will also use digital, AI-assisted and automation tools as part of the support process.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for IT incidents, service requests and user enquiries.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, replace and maintain workstations, laptops, desktops, peripherals and docking stations.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Support meeting rooms, video conferencing systems, audiovisual equipment and collaboration tools.
- Support mobile devices, Wi-Fi, VPN and remote access.
- Assist with workstation moves, relocations, migrations and equipment changes.
- Prepare and configure IT equipment for users.
- Record and update incidents and service requests in the ITSM system.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities.
- Perform routine checks of meeting rooms and audiovisual equipment.
- Coordinate with the Service Desk and specialist IT teams when required.
- Use AI-assisted and automation tools to support troubleshooting and service delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and user experience.
- Prioritise incidents and work towards timely, first-time resolution.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in onsite IT support, desktop support or field support.
- German language proficiency at C1 level.
- English language proficiency at C1 level.
- Experience providing IT support in a corporate environment.
- Good knowledge of workplace and end-user computing environments.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals and docking stations.
- Experience supporting meeting rooms and video conferencing systems.
- Knowledge of mobile devices, Wi-Fi, VPN and remote access.
- Experience using ITSM or ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of endpoint and inventory management.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow established support procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with users and technical teams.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00.
Occasional support outside standard working hours may be required based on service-level requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From 3.000,00€ per month
