The Team
A&M’s CFO Services team, part of the Private Equity practice in Germany, is looking to hire a Senior Director (m/f/d) with a proven track record as Interim CFO in companies with annual revenues of EUR 500m and above.
The primary focus of this role is the deployment as Interim CFO in our clients’ portfolio companies, complemented by leading CFO Services engagements such as working capital optimisation, liquidity management and finance transformations. The ideal candidate brings verifiable experience as Interim CFO in mid-to-large-sized companies, ideally in Private Equity portfolio environments, and is equally capable of leading A&M advisory teams across CFO Services projects.
How you will contribute
Take over Interim CFO mandates in client companies, with a primary focus on engagements at companies with annual revenues of EUR 500m and above, enabling our clients to increase financial transparency and drive a strong and fast transformation of the finance function
Conduct financial diagnostics to help our clients to identify weak points in the setup of their current finance function, followed by the development and implementation of a target operating model to address those weaknesses
Direct on-site delivery of working capital improvements and cash/liquidity programmes as well as performance monitoring including the development of key performance indicators
Assist clients by developing cash forecasts (in particular 13/17-week short horizon) or challenging existing ones
Qualifications
Proven track record as permanent or Interim CFO, with demonstrable mandates in companies with annual revenues of EUR 500m and above
Experience in Private Equity portfolio companies is preferred - a background in management consulting is a significant advantage
Ability to manage junior team members, ensuring effective delegation and leading the design and development of client deliverables
Hands-on, non-hierarchical leadership style that fosters trust and collaboration across all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present confidently and effectively.
Objective, fact-based approach to problem-solving.
Strong values and integrity, leading by example and inspiring confidence in colleagues and clients.
Master’s degree or MBA from an accredited university.
Fluent in German and English (written and spoken), other languages highly desirable
