Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and detail-driven TIG & Orbital Welders to join our project team in Germany. Responsible for precision TIG and orbital welding of ultra-high purity (UHP) stainless steel systems used in semiconductor manufacturing. The role requires exceptional weld cleanliness, contamination control, and compliance with strict semiconductor standards where even microscopic defects are unacceptable.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform manual and orbital TIG welding on UHP stainless steel tubing
Execute welds for gas and chemical distribution systems in semiconductor facilities
Maintain strict oxygen control and purge procedures (ppm-level monitoring)
Prepare and clean materials to ultra-high purity standards (no contamination)
Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and spool drawings
Ensure compliance with SEMI standards, ASME BPE, and client specifications
Carry out boroscope inspections and visual weld inspections where required
Complete full weld traceability documentation (log sheets, weld maps, etc.)
Work in cleanroom environments following strict gowning and behavioural protocols
Collaborate with QA/QC on inspection, testing, and validation processes
Perform system installation and tie-ins on-site where required
Key Skills and Competencies:
Certified TIG welder and/or Orbital welding certification
Ability to pass UHP weld tests
3–5+ years TIG welding experience on stainless steel tubing
Proven experience in semiconductor, microelectronics & UHP environments
Experience working on high purity gas systems
Strong experience with thin-wall stainless steel
Advanced TIG welding skills with high precision and consistency
Expertise in back purging and oxygen control
Ability to read and interpret isometrics, P&IDs, and spool drawings
Strong knowledge of contamination control and cleanroom practices
Experience maintaining weld traceability
Familiarity with SEMI standards, ASME BPE, and client specifications
Excellent attention to detail with a zero-defect mindset
Strong quality focus and ability to work to strict tolerances
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in high-spec environments
