About Us
We are 6H - a specialist in Direct Response Advertising with a clear focus: performance and scale through data-driven campaigns and strong content. With Native Advertising, we bring relevant content directly to the audience where it creates impact. We are delivering our client performance towards well-known international brands based on our proprietary software and are fully tech driven.
We're a lean, fast-moving team and hire people who can think, act, are eager to learn fast and own their work from the start.
Your Role
You will work directly alongside our lead engineer and help build, extend, and maintain the infrastructure behind NativeScale - our proprietary native advertising platform - as well as contribute to new product initiatives we are actively developing. You understand performance marketing well enough to know what you are building for, and you bring solid engineering fundamentals to ship reliable, production-grade code.
What You'll Do
Engineering - Primary Focus
- Contribute to the development of NativeScale - backend services, data pipelines, and optimization logic that powers campaign delivery at scale
- Build and maintain API integrations with native advertising platforms (Outbrain, Taboola, Mediago, TripleLift) and potentially other ad networks
- Develop data ingestion and processing pipelines for real-time campaign metrics, performance alerting, and automated reporting
- Implement and refine automation features: budget allocation logic, creative rotation, bid adjustment, and ad fatigue detection
- Contribute to new product development cycles - from architecture decisions through to deployment and monitoring
- Write clean, tested, maintainable Python code; participate actively in code reviews
- Work on system reliability, observability, and CI/CD pipeline improvements
Performance Marketing Cross-Over - Secondary Focus
- Develop a working understanding of campaign structure, funnel logic, and performance KPIs (CTR, CPL, ROAS, CVR) to build features that actually solve marketer problems
- Collaborate with the performance marketers to translate workflow requirements into product features and tooling improvements
- Help QA campaign setup flows and validate data accuracy across reporting dashboards
AI and Tooling - Required
- Use AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) as a standard part of your engineering workflow
- Apply LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) where relevant - automated content analysis, natural language reporting interfaces, or AI-assisted optimization features
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI and ML tooling into the product stack where it creates genuine value
- Stay current with the Python ecosystem, API patterns, and AI/ML tooling relevant to ad-tech
What You Bring
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical degree - final phase of studies
- Solid Python skills with real-world project experience - something you have shipped, not just completed as an assignment
- Experience working with REST APIs, third-party platform integrations, and asynchronous data processing
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization, and basic DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring)
- Genuine curiosity about performance marketing - you want to understand why ad spend decisions are made, not just implement the logic
- Clear communicator - able to explain technical decisions and tradeoffs to non-engineers
- German: min. C1 | English: min. C1 (English is our company language)
- Bonus: experience with ad-tech APIs, real-time data pipelines, JavaScript/TypeScript, or data visualization tools as well as interest in hardware/software interfaces or embedded-adjacent systems
What You Will Get
- Direct ownership of features that ship to production and impact live campaigns
- Deep technical exposure to ad-tech infrastructure and proprietary platform development
- Involvement in new product initiatives from early architecture through to launch
- Access to real performance data at scale
- A path to a permanent engineering role for the right fit
- Fully remote setup - we ship on results
