Located in the heart of Fischereihafen, one of Europe's leading seafood logistics hubs, the site supports the storage and distribution of temperature-sensitive products for customers across Europe.
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll work across a broad range of mechanical, electrical and PLC-controlled equipment in a modern cold storage environment. From troubleshooting faults to carrying out preventative maintenance, your work directly contributes to operational reliability, food safety and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Be Doing

As part of our Technical Services team, you'll be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance across the facility's equipment, systems and infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include:

Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and PLC-controlled equipment faults.

Carrying out planned maintenance on conveyor systems, refrigeration equipment, dock doors and other warehouse infrastructure.

Troubleshooting equipment failures to minimise downtime and restore operations safely and efficiently.

Supporting inspections, servicing activities and component replacements to maximise equipment reliability.

Coordinating specialist contractors and supporting external maintenance activities where required.

Managing spare parts, tools and technical documentation.

Maintaining a safe working environment while contributing to high engineering standards across the site.

Supporting the rollout and ongoing use of our Emaint maintenance management system by ensuring maintenance activities, reports and technical documentation are accurately recorded.
- Providing technical support during operational escalations and helping restore equipment availability as quickly as possible.
What We're Looking For
We're not looking for someone who has done everything already.
We're looking for a technically minded professional who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership and is eager to learn and develop.
You'll ideally have:

A completed technical vocational qualification (Ausbildung) or equivalent practical experience in a maintenance or engineering environment.

Experience working in a maintenance, service or engineering role.

Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.

Experience diagnosing faults on PLC-controlled equipment (programming experience is not required).

A hands-on mindset and strong sense of responsibility.

Willingness to work in a two-shift operation and participate in an on-call rotation.

A flexible mindset and willingness to be available when operational escalations require technical support.
Experience within warehouse automation, cold storage or food manufacturing is an advantage, but not essential. If you have a solid technical foundation and the motivation to learn, we'll support your development.
