The Team
The EMEA Finance Team supports offices across Europe and the Middle East as part of the Corporate Business Services function.
Reporting to the EMEA Director of Accounting, this role will be responsible for providing Financial Support and Governance to A&M Business Units and Business Operations. The role requires collaborative partnership with external advisors, auditors and A&M colleagues
The EMEA Finance team is responsible for all financial accounting, reporting and compliance requirements for the EMEA entities. The role will be a balance of hands-on activity and financial oversight to ensure business objectives are met.
How you will contribute

Lead responsibility for financial accounting and controlling across all German and Austrian entities

Deliver statutory and management reporting
-
Own statutory accounting under German GAAP: prepare full financial statements (including cash flow, notes, and management report), including translations for group reporting purposes.

Drive and manage local audits end-to-end, maintaining strong auditor relationships and ensuring timely and efficient completion.

Ensure compliance with fiscal and regulatory requirements: file board/shareholder minutes, financial, and other statutory submissions.

Act as the local lead for new German entity setups, including registrations, auditor engagement, bank account setup, and e-invoicing implementation.

Oversee intercompany processes, including timely and accurate invoice preparation, review, and settlement.

Reconcile local GAAP with management accounts monthly and post appropriate adjustments to align books and accounting treatments across entities.

Administer the VAT and withholding tax lifecycle: quarterly VAT returns, annual VAT return/communications,

Support corporate tax processes: support current and deferred tax provisions, annual returns and e-filings, and transfer pricing documentation; certificates of taxes withheld, and annual withholding tax returns

Oversee e-invoicing through the and ensure compliant digital archiving with the technology partner.

Support treasury activities, including Bundesbank Reporting requirements

Implement and maintain robust internal controls in line with German regulations, ensuring data integrity and scalable processes

Partner across Finance (AP, Billing, Treasury, Tax, Payroll), deliver ad hoc projects, mentor junior team members, and serve as the finance point of contact for the German business.

Partner with Senior Leadership as a trusted advisor, providing objective, value add and risk based guidance

It is expected that that the DACH region will continue to expand and with that the responsibilities of the role are expected to expand in line with the growth and that this will result in the position becoming a Senior Member of the DACH region
Qualifications

Considerable expertise in Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Compliance and Controlling, likely 10+ years’ experience and ideally within professional services or a similar environment.

A bachelor’s degree or similar in business administration, economics, or, alternatively, a business-related vocational degree with additional training in finance/controlling

Hands on, results oriented with a ‘can do’ attitude

Experience in Global multi-site, multi-currency complex businesses

Proven leadership in delivering local GAAP financial statements and contributing to group financial statements.

Consolidation preparation experience is advantageous.

Experienced SAP and Datev user.

Strong deadline discipline, results-oriented, and proactive “can-do” mindset and unwavering reliability

Team player with strong collaboration skills across finance and business stakeholders.

Clear, confident and strong communication skills, including an excellent command of German and English.
