The role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Consultant to join our German Environmental and Resilience team, delivering high-profile environmental and sustainability assessment projects. As a Consultant, you will be part of an international team of managers and consultants, supporting the execution of complex advisory projects across the full transaction lifecycle. Your focus will be on environmental, occupational health and safety (EHS), and ESG-related assessments to identify risks, opportunities, and value drivers in an M&A context.
Key Responsibilities
- Support EHS and ESG due diligence activities in the context of M&A transactions
- Analyze environmental, occupational health & safety, and ESG risks, as well as relevant regulatory requirements
- Conduct research on SFDR, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and relevant industry standards
- Prepare reports, risk summaries, and client presentations
- Support site visits and virtual assessments
About you / your Profile
- Degree in environmental sciences, sustainability, engineering, economics, or a comparable field
- Proven of experience in due diligence advisory with a focus on ESG, EHS, or sustainability
- Strong interest in EHS compliance, ESG strategy, and the economic impact of sustainability on companies
- Strong consulting mindset: ability to identify challenges, formulate hypotheses, and develop pragmatic, tailored solutions
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment
- Strong analytical skills, structured way of working, and good communication skills
- Fluent German (C2 level or higher) and very good English (at least B2)
- Class B driver’s license is an advantage
