We are looking for an Aerospace Engineer – Aircraft Performance & Product Ownership (m/f/d) to join our headquarters in Berlin and take ownership of the evolution and application of Missions, our route network and aircraft performance analysis platform.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy combining aircraft performance expertise with product ownership, customer interaction, and solution development. You will serve as a key interface between customers, users, software developers, and internal stakeholders, helping to shape the future capabilities of Missions and ensuring that customer requirements are translated into valuable product enhancements.
Working closely with our clients, such as aircraft manufacturers, and industry partners, you will develop a deep understanding of operational and performance-related challenges and help transform them into practical software solutions. Through your work, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of Missions while supporting customers in achieving maximum value from the platform.
In addition to product ownership responsibilities, you will conduct customer meetings, deliver demonstrations and training sessions, support product evaluations and trials, and contribute to sales and business development activities.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Take ownership of the evolution and application of Missions and its capabilities.
Define, prioritize, and support the implementation of new and enhanced product functionality.
Translate customer requirements into functional product specifications and solution concepts.
Collaborate closely with software developers throughout the development process.
Conduct regular meetings with customers and users to understand their needs and gather feedback.
Deliver product demonstrations, training sessions, and workshops.
Support customer evaluations, trials, and onboarding activities.
Provide technical support for sales and business development activities.
Represent Missions at customer meetings, industry events, conferences, and workshops.
Help guide the product roadmap based on customer feedback, market needs, and industry developments.
YOUR PROFILE
Required Qualifications
University degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Solid understanding of aircraft performance and airline operations.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to customers and operational users.
Ability to capture and translate customer requirements into functional product enhancements.
Strong presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
Enjoy working directly with customers, users, and stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and willingness to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with aircraft performance engineering tools; experience with Airbus PEP and/or Boeing BPS is desirable.
Experience in airline operations, route planning, network planning, fleet planning, or aircraft performance engineering.
Experience in product ownership, requirements engineering, or software product management.
Experience delivering technical training, workshops, or software demonstrations.
Experience in customer-facing, consulting, or application engineering roles.
German language skills are a plus.
