What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
Lead and manage engineering projects with full accountability for scope, time, cost, quality, and compliance, applying the Vertical Start-Up (VSU) approach
Actively contribute to business case preparations and technology transfer projects, including feasibility checks, plant and equipment specifications, process optimization, and profitability analyses
Ensure a smooth technology transfer and implementation from design to industrialization at the manufacturing site
Drive the qualification and compliant GxP documentation of machines, systems, and processes in line with regulatory requirements
Develop and implement scientific and robust engineering solutions to manufacturing challenges using OPEX and structured problem-solving methodologies
Support the development and continuous improvement of global engineering standards and best practices, and ensure their effective roll-out at site level
Embed EHS and Quality “by design” principles in all project phases, proactively identifying risks and sustainable solutions
Drive Early Equipment Management during the selection, purchase, and commissioning of new machinery to ensure long-term reliability and performance
What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
University degree in pharmaceutical engineering or a comparable technical discipline
Extensive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with a strong focus on packaging technologies (e.g. sachets, blisters, bottles for solids and liquids)
Proven track record in the successful implementation of pharmaceutical engineering projects
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with proven experience working effectively across global and local organizations
Solid knowledge of GMP requirements, technical regulations, and manufacturing processes
Practical experience with VSU, TPM, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Experience with SAP PM/MM is an advantage
Knowledge of serialization and aggregation and experience in digitalization are a plus
Fluency in business English and German, with strong communication and presentation skills
Willingness to travel up to 10%
