Our CAN Stamping team in the Manufacturing division CELL at Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg is looking for an innovative and highly driven Process Engineering Intern. If you are analytically strong, enjoy solving problems, and get bored with mundane tasks, then this role is for you. You implement, develop, and optimize production methodologies in the manufacturing operations of Tesla. Optimize product flow through the factory through process optimization. This will include topics like selecting tools/fixtures, create handy solution via 3D prints, improve line layouts, tool presentation and other relevant factors. Interface with design, tooling, manufacturing and quality engineering to solve problems, improve ergonomic workload and implement continual improvements. Sustain products and equipment with cost reduction and yield improvements. Work closely with supervisors and associates across multiple business units.
What You'll Do-
Prepare data sets and optimize production processes to ensure safety while maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness in cost effective means while driving to achieve world-class quality levels and championing continuous improvement projects to maximize yield, capacity, and capability.

Support and modify line and working space layouts, including material flow, waste reduction and ergonomics, utilizing Lean Manufacturing best practices.

Participate in the transition of a product from concept to pilot line production and into mass manufacturing.

Create concepts and maintain Manufacturing Instructions, routings, and associated processes.

Apply technical ideas to innovate, design and develop processes, tooling, assembly fixtures and procedures.

Prepare data sets to monitor process and reduce process variation using Statistical Process Control.

Understand process capabilities through critical data analysis and in depth understanding of the product. Develop specifications to assist in process improvement, including assembly equipment, storage equipment, and standard and specialized line display equipment.

Providing analysis of existing requirements and efficiency to ensure the best practice options.

Learn how to maintain day-to-day stakeholder relationships.
