GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a CIP Architect supporting the U.S. Army Europe and Africa in Wiesbaden, Germany. The USAREUR-AF CIP Architect is the technical expert responsible for overseeing the architecture, workflow, and innovations required to modernize and maintain the common intelligence picture.
The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical expertise and guide complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives to improve the CIP Architecture and analytical workflows. This individual will work directly with soldiers, government civilians, and industry partners to rapidly integrate new data sources, analytical techniques, and test next-generation AI/ML algorithms.
This position is a focal point for all CIP inquiries from DIA, EUCOM, DA-G2, AIDP program office, and component commands to ensure global delivery of USAREUR-AF's input to the Army, Theater and National CIP and to the Army’s Common Operational Picture (COP).
The ultimate purpose of this role is to ensure that the CIP meets diverse and evolving operational needs of both day-to-day activities and high-priority missions/operations while continuously improving the U.S. Army Europe-Africa (USAREUR-AF) CIP.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As the CIP Architect, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of U.S. Army Europe and Africa. You will play a crucial role in delivering new intel capabilities to the warfighter. The CIP Architect’s responsibilities/duties include:
Develop highly complex flow charts, models, diagrams, and procedures.
Conducts feasibility studies to modernize and improve the CIP.
Assists with integration of systems, technology, data flow, and architecture across various organizations.
Maintains Coalition and NATO interoperability architecture.
Develop technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of systems.
Establishes and advises on operational plans, exercise designs, and contributes to systems planning.
Presents briefs to stakeholders on architecture design, courses of action, project updates, and training plans. Provides recommendations, as needed.
Develops training material, aids and lesson plans tailored to the customer’s requirements.
Manages large projects addressing complex and difficult problems.
Analyze the current CIP across multiple networks to ensure consistency and synchronization of data, identifying deficiencies/gaps and recommending actions to enhance/improve the CIP and CIP related workflows.
Establish and maintain a knowledge repository for all CIP related systems, integration guides, and TTPs developed to improve the CIP.
Coach, mentor, and peer review teammates work products.
May serve as a team or task leader.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience.
Candidates must have a valid DoD 8570.2 IAT II certification.
Strong understanding of DoW data standards and formats used to exchange data between Intelligence Systems and Command and Control Systems.
Proven project management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders.
Experience designing/improving Intelligence Architecture.
Experience with Army intelligence platforms (e.g., Army Intelligence Data Platform, INSCOM Cloud Initiative, DCGS-A, TITAN), and C2 Systems (CPCE, Maven Smart System).
Experience with Joint Intelligence platforms (e.g., ATOMS, Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System, Maven Smart Systems, GCCS-J/I3, Modernized Integrated Database).
Experience working in a multi-enclave DoD environment and familiarity with Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS).
Experience in Exercise simulations, design, support, integration.
Exceptional communication skills and ability to brief complex technical topics to both senior leaders and analysts.
An active TS/SCI Security Clearance
Must be able to travel occasionally (~10%).
GEP and/or DISMG experience preferred
