Ground Segment System Engineer (d/f/m)

Airbus Defence and Space is a global leader in military aviation. An exciting vacancy for a Ground Segment System Engineer has arisen in Manching, Germany. By taking on this role, you will join the dynamic TADYA1 team. You will work in the highly interdisciplinary field of Systems Engineering & Architecture for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), being responsible for contributing to the overall Ground Control Station (GCS) requirements and establishing the overall GCS design for the RPAS program.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Define subsystem requirements, monitor their implementation, and contribute to the overall equipment list.
Manage suppliers to ensure that the solutions offered fully comply with established requirements.
Harmonize requirements and design with other Segment/functional chain architects, Engineering disciplines, and Partner companies (including consolidation of Physical Budgets, Design Criteria, and overall GCS Performances).
Contribute to activities performed by transversal organizations (such as Safety, Certification, RAMT, etc.) and support Integration & Verification (IV) activities.
Maintain contact with the customer to refine operational expectations and requirements, while supporting the program line with technical assessments when needed.
Desired skills and qualifications
Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
Solid knowledge of Systems Engineering Standards (such as ARP 4754a, INCOSE) and System/Software development in Aviation.
Strong understanding of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Ground Control Stations (GCS), and project management principles.
Proven ability to understand the operational use of a system, define complex requirements, and document technical issues in an understandable way.
Familiarity with work processes in a military environment and fluency in English.
