Who we are
Our mission has started. We are starting our own battery cell production in Battery Valley in Salzgitter and ramping up our headquarters for global cell production. The product management unit is responsible for all activities relating to the development and industrialization of battery cells. Responsibilities range from the preparation of technology roadmaps and portfolio planning to volume and cycleplan planning and the holistic program management for global battery projects.
Your role and key responsibilities
Design a robust and scalable AI system architecture capable of handling complex reasoning tasks, ensuring reliability, transparency, and effective human oversight
Develop advanced decision support frameworks that leverage data to generate actionable strategic recommendations, exploring suitable modeling techniques to navigate business and regulatory constraints
Establish a rigorous framework for system evaluation and observability to ensure transparency, accuracy, and auditability, integrating the results into intuitive interfaces for stakeholders
Use AI to craft executive slides with crisp, decision focused visuals, producing automatized standard slides‑focused visuals, producing automatized standard slides
Prototype automated reports and dashboards for our cell projects
Gather, clean, and analyze large-scale, heterogeneous big data (text, tables, time series) with scalable, reproducible pipelines
Create short “How‑to” guides and prompt templates so colleagues can reuse your AI workflows
What you bring to the team
Enrolled Master’s student in Economics, Data Science, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Business, Public Policy, Computer Science, Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, or a comparable field
Solid experience with LLM‑based AI assistants and agentic workflows, including prompt engineering, tool use, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) and multi‑agent routing/critique
Applied experience in building predictive models and time-series forecasting, utilizing a spectrum of methods from classical Machine Learning (e.g., Gradient Boosting) to advanced neural networks for sequence and text processing
Confident in PowerPoint and executive-style slide writing
Structured thinking and excellent written communication
Comfortable handling multiple tasks with a solution‑oriented, analytical approach
Fluent in English; German is a good benefit
What makes you stand out
Strong interest in trade/industrial policy, financial regulation, and their impact on manufacturing and supply chains
Experience with Power BI dashboards, SharePoint/Teams workflows, or Power Automate
Hands‑on with deep learning for time series (e.g., LSTM/TFT/N‑BEATS) and a clear understanding of the trade‑offs versus classical baselines (ARIMA/ETS or gradient boosting with lags)
Solid data wrangling (CSV/Excel/JSON), fact‑checking, and source management (citations, provenance)
Curiosity, ownership, and a hands‑on mindset; comfort working with multiple stakeholders in a fast‑moving environment
