What to Expect
The Finished Vehicle Logistics team is responsible for the smooth movement of cars through our network of ports, compounds and carriers. We keep in close contact with key stakeholders including regulatory authorities, port operators, shipping lines and trucking companies, and with our Tesla colleagues at factories and delivery centers.
This role is for an Associate Logistics Specialist within the team. The role will involve tasks such as truck planning, load creation, supporting the loading and unloading of trains, trucks and vessels, following up on shipment progress and other tasks in our Transport Management System (TMS), paperwork creation for incoming and outgoing shipments, problem solving and communicating with suppliers.
What You'll Do
- Book capacity on trucks and vessels in line with volume forecasts

Create shipments within TMS

Maintain accurate ETAs to give maximum visibility to the receiving locations

Build and maintain working relationship with vehicle carriers, port operators and other logistics providers as required

Ensure customs procedures are carried out with full compliance

Work with central teams to oversee bulk scheduling of incoming customer vehicles.

Review and maintain KPIs with all stakeholders

Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels at Logistics locations across EMEA

Coordinate shipping and receiving operations for ports and compounds
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years’ experience in supply chain or operations related functions, preferably within an automotive manufacturer or supplier.

Experience with MS Office Applications, including knowledge of Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Ability to write, speak and present effectively and persuasively at all levels.

Strong critical thinking and resolution in sometimes ambiguous situations.

Self-driven initiative to gain and share a broader knowledge of supply chain.
