mit dem Schwerpunkt institutionelle, organisationale und professionelle Dimensionen pädagogischen Handelns
(E 13 TV-G-U)
zunächst für drei Jahre befristet als Associated Lecturer mit Option der Verdauerung als Lecturer zu besetzen. Die Eingruppierung richtet sich nach den Tätigkeitsmerkmalen des für die Goethe-Universität geltenden Tarifvertrages (TV-G-U).
Die Stelle ist im Rahmen des universitären Dauerstellenkonzepts Karrierewege@Goethe dem Advanced Teaching Track zugeordnet und mit einem Tenure Track verknüpft; nach drei Jahren wird die Stelle bei positiver Evaluation entfristet. Sofern ein*e Bewerber*in bereits vollumfänglich über die erforderlichen Qualifikationen sowie entsprechende Berufserfahrung nach Abschluss der Promotion verfügt, ist entsprechend dem im universitären Dauerstellenkonzept festgelegten Verfahren (siehe unter Punkt 2.5 im folgenden Link: https://tinygu.de/P4eR7) nach externer Begutachtung eine sofortige unbefristete Einstellung als Lecturer möglich.
Aufgabengebiet:
Sie beteiligen sich an den Lehr- und Forschungsaufgaben des Instituts für Sozialpädagogik und Erwachsenenbildung, tragen zu einem vielfältigen und zielgruppenorientierten Lehrangebot in den Hauptfachstudiengängen (Bachelor und Master Erziehungswissenschaft) bei und bereichern dieses um eine erziehungswissenschaftliche Perspektive. Diese sollte in einem Lebenslaufbezug einer Pädagogik der Lebensalter das Wechselverhältnis von institutioneller, organisationaler und professioneller Dimensionen in den Blick nehmen. Das heißt, die wohlfahrtsstaatliche Verrechtlichung von Bildung, Erziehung und Hilfe und die sich daraus ableitenden Praktiken und Formen der Organisation in Bezug auf die Entwicklung, Begründung und Reflexion pädagogischer Deutungs- und Handlungsmuster sowie Adressat*innenkonstruktionen in den Blick zu nehmen.
Sie lehren als Associated Lecturer im Umfang von 8 LVS und als Lecturer im Umfang von 12 LVS vorrangig im Modul BA 4 (Recht und Organisation pädagogischen Handelns) und darüber hinaus in den Modulen BA 7 (Schlüsselqualifikationen), BA 9/10 (Professionelles pädagogisches Handeln über die Lebensalter) sowie BA 11, 12 (Praxisreflexion). Eine Beteiligung an der Lehre im Modul BA 8 (Digitalität, Medien & Bildung) wäre ebenfalls wünschenswert, insbesondere unter der Perspektive auf die Transformation von Institutionen, Organisationen und Profession von Pädagogik in algorithmisierten Gesellschaften.
Außerdem bringen Sie sich in Bezug auf anstehende Organisationsaufgaben in Studium und Lehre ein, u.a. für die angestrebte Zuständigkeit für die Staatliche Anerkennung Sozialpädagogik.
Sie qualifizieren sich als Associated Lecturer für die im Rahmen der Tätigkeit als Lecturer anstehenden Organisationsaufgaben in Studium und Lehre. Dazu zählen Aufgaben im Bereich der Lehrangebotsplanung, der Praktikumsbetreuung und koordinative Aufgaben in Fachbereichsinitiativen und Studiengängen. Es besteht die Verpflichtung der regelmäßigen hochschuldidaktischen Weiterbildung bzw. Erweiterung des Lehrportfolios.
Für die Dauer der Beschäftigung als Associated Lecturer ist ein Anteil an selbstbestimmter Forschung Bestandteil der Tätigkeitsbeschreibung zur wissenschaftlichen Qualifizierung. Perspektivisch kommt die Zuständigkeit für die Staatliche Anerkennung Sozialpädagogik hinzu. Die Weiterqualifizierung erfolgt eigenverantwortlich gemäß den in einer Zielvereinbarung hinterlegten Anforderungen.
Einstellungsvoraussetzungen:
- abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium (Master oder vergleichbar) im Bereich der Erziehungswissenschaft
- Promotion in Erziehungswissenschaft
- sehr gute Kenntnisse in institutions-, organisations-, professionstheoretischen sowie rechtlichen Fragen pädagogischen Handelns: Expertise in Recht und mindestens einem weiteren Bereich sowie Interesse und Potenzial an allen sowie an ihrem Zusammenspiel
- Expertise in Bezug auf eine Pädagogik der Lebensalter, mindestens in einem Lebensalter (Kindheit, Jugend, Erwachsenalter, hohes Alter) und/oder einer Lebenslauf-/Lebensspannenperspektive

initially for three years as an Associated Lecturer with the option of permanent appointment as a Lecturer. The position is available from 01.10.2026. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe University (TV-G-U).
The position is assigned to the Advanced Teaching Track as part of the university's permanent position concept Karrierewege@Goethe and is linked to a tenure track; after three years, the position will be terminated if the evaluation is positive. Responsibilities:
You will participate in the teaching and research tasks of the Institute for Social Pedagogy and Adult Education, contribute to a diverse and target group-oriented range of courses in the major degree programs (Bachelor's and Master's in Educational Science) and enrich these with an educational science perspective. This should focus on the interrelationship of institutional, organizational and professional dimensions in a life-course perspective of a pedagogy of the ages. This means examining the welfare state's legalisation of education, upbringing and support, and the resulting practices and forms of organisation in relation to the development, justification and reflection of pedagogical patterns of interpretation and action, as well as the construction of target groups.
You will teach as an associated lecturer for 8 LVS and as a lecturer for 12 LVS, primarily in module BA 4 (Law and Organisation of Educational Practice) and also in modules BA 7 (Key Qualifications), BA 9/10 (Professional Educational Practice across the Lifespan) and BA 11, 12 (Practical Reflection). Participation in teaching in module BA 8 (Digitality, Media & Education) would also be desirable, particularly from the perspective of the transformation of institutions, organisations and the profession of education in algorithmic societies.
As an Associated Lecturer, you will qualify for the organizational tasks involved in teaching and learning. This includes tasks in the area of course planning, internship supervision and coordinative tasks in departmental initiatives and degree programs. There is an obligation to undergo regular further training in higher education didactics or to expand the teaching portfolio.
For the duration of employment as an Associated Lecturer, a proportion of self-determined research is part of the job description for academic qualification. Further qualification is carried out independently in accordance with the requirements set out in a target agreement.
Recruitment requirements:
- completed academic university degree in the field of educational science and/or related humanities/social science subjects
- Doctorate in educational science
- very good knowledge of institutional, organisational, professional theory and legal issues relating to educational practice: expertise in law and at least one other area, as well as an interest in and potential for all of these areas and their interaction.
- Expertise in pedagogy for different stages of life, at least one stage (childhood, adolescence, adulthood, old age) and/or a life course/life span perspective
- Willingness to teach in English
