Role Overview
We are looking for a versatile candidate to coordinate and support public funding applications for industrial decarbonization projects. The role focuses on managing grant applications and stakeholder coordination, while also providing support for technical feasibility studies and proposal development.
You should be highly fluent with AI tools and use them to 3x your productivity while producing genuinely high-quality work, not AI slop.
This position offers the opportunity to develop towards either a commercial/business development path or a more technical proposal engineering role over time.
Background & Experience

Engineering degree (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Energy Engineering, Process Engineering) or similar technical/business background

1–3 years of professional experience

Experience in funding applications, project coordination, technical consulting, proposal support, or research projects is an advantage

Knowledge of industrial energy systems, electrification, or decarbonization is a plus

Business-fluent German and English are non-negotiable requirements, as the role involves coordinating funding applications and stakeholders across German and international environments
Key Responsibilities
Funding Coordination (primary focus)

Use AI tools to research, synthesize, and structure complex technical and funding-related information

Coordinate public funding applications from preparation to submission

Manage timelines, documentation, and stakeholder communication across internal teams, customers, and funding authorities. Review funding guidelines and translate requirements into internal action plans

Support reporting and follow-up activities for approved projects
Technical & Proposal Support

Contribute to feasibility studies and proposal development for Power-to-Heat and industrial electrification projects

Support technical and techno-economic analyses using customer and plant data

Prepare and review technical inputs during conceptual project phases, primarily related to process, mechanical and I&C disciplines

Calculate energy and mass flows, and size main equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps and vessels, using engineering best practices

Assist with business case development and investment justification
