What to Expect
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Supplier Operations Manager to oversee the operational aspects of sourcing, logistics, and supplier management for camera modules and their internal components—such as filters, lenses, electrical engineering (EE) components, and mechanical engineering (ME) components essential to full self-driving technologies. This individual will work closely with engineering teams, contract manufacturing partners, and external suppliers to ensure seamless operations that meet rigorous performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency standards. Reporting to the Supply Chain Group Manager, you will be a key resource supporting various engineering groups within Tesla, ensuring seamless alignment with Tesla’s autonomous driving goals.
In this fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operational strategies that guarantee optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance for camera modules and sub-components. You’ll drive efficiencies in the supply chain while building strong supplier relationships to meet Tesla’s strategic objectives. What You'll Do
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes to support Tesla's mission and goals, with a focus on camera modules and internal parts like EE components, and ME components.

Manage and optimize all aspects of the supply chain operations, including sourcing, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships for camera modules and related sub-components.

Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvement, ensuring high efficiency in the delivery of Module and its subcomponents.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials and components, facilitating seamless integration into autonomous driving camera systems.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met for camera modules and their internal components.

Proactively identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce costs across the camera module supply chain.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management and incorporate them into Tesla's operations, exploring innovations in camera module components and assembly.

Lead the end-to-end operational oversight for camera modules, including inventory forecasting, logistics coordination, and performance tracking to support production demands.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain operations management, with a focus on complex assemblies like camera modules or related optoelectronic systems.

Preferred background in managing operations for camera module components, including filters, lenses, EE components and ME components in automotive or high-tech industries.

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle data-driven decision-making and travel up to 25% of the time.

Proficient in supply chain tools and metrics, including inventory management systems, risk assessment, and cost modeling.

Ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, innovative setting.
