Design, implement, and maintain high-quality, production-ready code based on system-level concepts and requirements
Support the System Architecture team in translating high-level requirements into clean, implementable software designs
Involvement in the creation and execution of automated testing scenarios for the software requirements
Contribute to software requirements engineering activities, ensuring code implementation is fully documented
Write, review, and maintain high-quality code and technical documentation with a strong focus on QM aspects and standards like ISO 9001
Ensure consistency, traceability, and completeness from software requirements down to the actual code implementation in accordance with safety standards (ISO 26262 or IEC 61508)
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Systems Engineering, Perception, Safety and V&V) to integrate software components
Participate in code reviews, technical audits, and validation activities on target hardware and vehicles
Identify gaps, bugs, risks, and performance improvement opportunities in the software
Willingness to travel internationally to offices and test locations for integration and testing activities
Mid-level or higher experience in Software Engineering, Software Architecture, or Systems Programming
Proven experience in software development within safety-critical domains, ideally in the automotive domain (ISO 26262 or IEC 61508)
Strong understanding of Quality Management (QM) processes and standards (such as ISO 9001) in a software development context
Strong understanding of software validation, testing frameworks, and test automation
Strong experience in systems programming languages (C/C++) and a strong willingness to learn and work in a Rust-based development environment (prior Rust experience is a plus)
Structured, detail-oriented working style with strong analytical and debugging skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required
Based in the Berlin Metropolitan area or willingness to relocate
Willingness to travel to local offices and test locations as required
