The Mucosal Immunology research group at the Center for Allergy and Environment (ZAUM) investigates fundamental questions regarding tolerance and immunity, with a focus on the gastrointestinal tract. In this context, we address questions regarding the role of dendritic cells and regulatory T cells, various tissue-resident cells, as well as the role of the microbiome (e.g., Köhler et al., Muc Immunol 2024; Geiselhöringer et al., Nature Commun 2024; Kolland et al., Nat Commun 2025). The research group is also embedded in national research consortia (CRC1371, TRR355) as well as local networks at TUM and Helmholtz Munich. The position is located on the Neuherberg campus at Helmholtz Munich.
