What we seek

You are a highly motivated graduate with an excellent master’s degree in economics, information systems, industrial engineering, management or a related field of study. Applications are also welcome from candidates who have (or will shortly have) completed a doctoral degree in a related field. Preliminary part-time employment up to 0.5 full-time equivalent in line with pay grade E12 TV-L may be arranged temporarily for candidates who have not yet completed their master’s thesis. Please contact us for details.
Very good analytical skills and a keen interest in the economics of the digital economy, digital markets, digital platforms, AI or related topics in the Chair's field of research. The research projects can be chosen based on your personal interests.
Ability to work in an international team, open-mindedness, and the motivation to work on a research project independently and diligently.
Excellent spoken and written English language skills. Knowledge of German is not a requirement. The working language at the chair is English.

The chair is involved in several large-scale research projects with national and international partners and regularly hosts leading international scholars.

Annual Salary

59324 - 66896 EUR

This is a fully-funded full-time position (100% FTE) with social security and healthcare contributions, based on a fixed-term contract valid for a period of three years, with the option of renewal. Remuneration is in accordance with pay grade E13 of the German public-sector collective agreement, TV-L, and currently ranges from €59,324(step 1) to €66,896 (step 3) annually; the salary step depends on your qualifications and experience.
