BIM Architect (m/f/d) – in the field of architecture

Arup has decades of experience in designing complex buildings and projects that set new standards. We provide our clients with comprehensive support in planning and implementing their concepts, placing particular emphasis on the efficient use of resources. We are seeking support for the development of the BIM/Digital division within our internationally active architecture team in Krakow, working on a diverse range of topics and exceptional projects.
As part of Arup’s BIM/Digital focus group within the architecture team, you will contribute to the strategic development of BIM and digital topics for our multidisciplinary projects. You will be based in Berlin/Frankfurt, and thanks to flexible, self-organised working arrangements, you may work remotely on a part-time basis.
Your role in our team

Working as part of the BIM/Digital team within the architecture team

Contributing to the further development, definition and implementation of digital standards and methods for design and planning processes (focus on BIM, but also parametric design, design-supporting simulations, AI and VR)

Contributing to the contract and process design for multidisciplinary projects (with a focus on AIA and BAP) in coordination with project management

Setting up and providing ongoing support for projects relating to BIM and digital topics

Overall BIM coordination and acting as the point of contact for BIM management in selected projects, in close consultation with the architectural planning management

BIM-based planning and specialist BIM coordination in selected projects

Testing new and innovative software and hardware solutions

Setting up and managing a Common Data Environment (CDE) for the project teams

Estimating the BIM resources required for the projects
What you ideally bring to the role
To successfully fulfil your role, you should match the following profile (with further training provided to address any gaps):

A degree in architecture, civil engineering or a related discipline
-
Very good knowledge of Revit
-
Good knowledge of Rhino, Navisworks and/or Solibri and Desite

Good knowledge of and an interest in parametric design, design-supporting simulations, AI and VR for architecture

Familiarity with HOAI-based project workflows

Good written and spoken English; German is a plus

Experience in the following areas:
