Your Mission
We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel Germany (m/f/x) to join Aonic’s group legal team, supporting the continued international growth of our user acquisition and research technology platforms.
You will act as a strategic partner to multiple parts of the business, with a broad focus across commercial, product, technology, marketing, and consumer matters for our German market. This is a newly created position based in Germany, offering the opportunity to shape your role based on your strengths and interests.
You will work closely with teams across Aonic’s technology companies and collaborate directly with the Group General Counsel on group-wide initiatives and the ongoing development and scaling of the legal function.
What You’ll Own
Provide strategic legal support across product and business development, marketing operations, and commercial partnerships.
Build scalable legal processes, templates, and playbooks to support Aonic’s global expansion.
Advise on intellectual property matters, including licensing, ownership, and protection of technology, data, and content assets.
Partner with the Group General Counsel and other lawyers on corporate matters, compliance, and legal strategy.
Contribute to the development of the legal function, including through the use of AI-based legal tools and process automation.
Coordinate and manage external legal advisors.

The group’s German entities operate within a strong legal framework: Corporate governance, compliance requirements, and commercial practices are maintained to a high standard while supporting business growth.
External legal spend is optimized: Matters are appropriately handled in-house whenever possible, and external counsel is managed effectively to ensure quality advice and cost efficiency.
Legal enables growth across the group: Strategic initiatives, new partnerships, product launches, and business expansion projects receive timely legal support that helps the organization move forward with confidence.
What You Bring
Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist) with both German State Examinations completed.
5+ years of relevant post-qualification experience.
Initial experience gained at a law firm, ideally within commercial, corporate, technology, media, or digital business law.
In-house legal experience within a fast-paced company environment.
Strong expertise in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
Broad understanding of German corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
Experience advising technology, SaaS, gaming, digital media, marketing, e-commerce, or other high-growth businesses.
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
Experience supporting international business operations.
Familiarity with Legal Tech and AI-powered legal tools.
Nice to have
Exposure to privacy, data protection, consumer protection, advertising, or platform-related legal matters.
Experience within private equity-backed or rapidly scaling organizations.
