In your role as a Country Manager Germany you are in charge of supervising Newcold’s activities (Warehouse and Transport) in order to:
- Deliver the best service to the customer.
- Maintain a sustainable and profitable growth by reaching the target of profit agreed in the Annual Operating Plan.
- Keep and develop a strong and motivated operational team.
- Ensure compliance with local rules and regulation.
- Connect the Country specific direction with the overall NewCold goals and objectives.
What will you do?
- Act as the company’s official representative in relations with current customers, government institutions, local authorities, and trade union.
- Evaluate and maintain the quality of NewCold’s relationships with customers in order to sustain a high level of reliability and trust.
- Contact prospective customers to present company activities.
- Meet regularly the customers through operational and informal meeting.
- Closely monitor developments in the national market and track competitor activities.
- Accountable for preparing and presenting the Annual Operating Plan each year in accordance with Head Office guidelines.
- Accountable for defining the annual required investments in line with business objectives.
- Establish and implement an effective organizational structure to achieve operational and financial targets.
- Ensure the proper implementation and ongoing compliance of quality management systems.
- Prepare and submit monthly performance reports to Headquarters, providing timely and detailed explanations of results.
- Ensure full compliance with national legislation, including social, environmental, and statutory financial reporting requirements.
- Build and promote a positive company image, safeguarding and strengthening NewCold’s position in both domestic and international markets, including through appropriate marketing tools.
- Proactively identify and explore new business activities and opportunities aligned with NewCold’s strategic interests.
Who are we looking for?
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics or Engineering
- Minimum 7 years experience in Management of an Operational Business Unit or company in the Warehousing, Supply Chain, Transport or Food Production industry in Germany
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Leadership role in fast-paced environment
- Minimum 5 years experience in Change and Transition Management
- Professional Communication & Empathy
- Business Development & Relationship Management
- Fluent in English and German, any other European languages is a plus
