The Role
We are looking for an experienced technician with a strong background in mechanical assembly and electrical wiring to build, wire, and test Skycharge products — from mechanical structures and electrical control panels to fully assembled and tested systems.
You will also support workshop and warehouse operations, helping ensure that production keeps running smoothly.
This is a key hands-on role within a small, dynamic team, ideal for someone who can work independently and wants to see the products they build deployed around the world.
Assemble mechanical structures, sheet-metal components, and mechanical assemblies from technical drawings, including mechanisms, guides, actuators, adjustments and fine-tuning, sealing, and gaskets for IP protection.
Wire electrical control and power panels, including DIN rails, cable ducts, crimping, and wire labeling, as well as machine wiring for sensors, actuators, motors, and power supplies.
Perform soldering on cables and connectors, as well as small TIG or MIG/MAG welding jobs on brackets and supports.
Carry out electrical checks and functional testing, documenting results before shipment.
Manage warehouse operations and purchasing: incoming goods, stock levels, inventory, purchase orders, supplier follow-ups, packaging, and shipping.
Travel within Italy and Europe approximately 5–10% of the time for installation, commissioning, and maintenance at customer sites.
Contribute to improving production processes and documentation and support the onboarding and training of new production team members.
️ What We’re Looking For
Technical diploma or vocational qualification in electrical engineering, electromechanics, mechatronics, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.
5–10 years of experience in mechanical assembly, electrical panel wiring, and machine wiring.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and bills of materials.
Strong knowledge of electrical wiring techniques, including crimping, terminals, wire labeling, and the use of electrical measurement instruments.
Experience with soldering and the ability to perform basic metal welding.
Experience managing warehouse operations and purchase orders using ERP or inventory-management software.
Italian and technical English; Category B driving licence and willingness to travel approximately 5–10% of the time.
- Preferred Qualifications
PES/PAV qualification according to CEI 11-27 and knowledge of CEI EN 60204-1.
Experience with PLCs, fieldbus systems such as Modbus and Profinet, and machine commissioning.
Welding certification according to UNI EN ISO 9606 and experience with metal fabrication.
Forklift and/or overhead crane licence.
Experience working in startups or small teams where responsibilities are broad and priorities can change quickly.
Compensation
Gross Annual Salary: €25,000 – €35,000 — CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, technical skills, level of autonomy, and quality of execution.
