About the Role
Mmaah operates and maintains restaurant locations across Berlin and surrounding areas. To ensure smooth daily operations, we are looking for a Hausmeister / Technischer Betreuer to support the technical upkeep, maintenance, and overall functionality of our stores.
This role plays a key part in ensuring all locations remain safe, fully operational, and well-maintained. You will work closely with store teams and management, handling maintenance tasks, coordinating external service providers, and supporting technical operations across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- General facility management: inspection of stores for cleanliness, order, and functionality; checking technical equipment for visible damage; ensuring general operational safety
- Repair and maintenance work: execution of minor repairs (e.g. lighting, fittings, locks, seals); fixing or replacing damaged equipment; reporting major issues to management
- Coordination of external contractors: scheduling and communication with service providers; supervision of maintenance and repair work; documentation of completed services
- Maintenance of technical systems: basic inspection and maintenance of lighting, ventilation, air conditioning systems, kitchen equipment, water installations, and electrical systems (visual checks)
- Safety inspections: checking emergency exits and escape routes; inspection of fire extinguishers and safety equipment; ensuring compliance with safety and fire protection regulations
- Outdoor areas: inspection of entrances; removal of minor dirt or hazards; coordination of winter services if required; checking signage and lighting
- Transport and installation: transporting furniture and equipment between locations; supporting store openings and renovations; assembly and installation of fixtures and equipment
- Documentation and reporting: recording all maintenance activities; reporting defects and repair needs; regular updates to management via planning/documentation tools
- Flexibility: working across multiple locations in Berlin and surrounding areas; responding to urgent technical issues; supporting special projects or refurbishments
Ideal Profile
- Experience in facility management, technical maintenance, or similar hands-on technical roles
- Basic knowledge of building systems, repairs, and technical equipment
- Practical, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently across multiple locations
- Reliable, flexible, and responsive in handling urgent issues
- Basic documentation and communication skills
- German language proficiency of at least C1 level is required
