We are looking for experienced Multimedia Audio Engineers and Technical Leads with strong expertise in Android Audio Stack, Audio HAL, ALSA, and Audio DSP development.
The role involves working on advanced Automotive/Embedded Android multimedia platforms with focus on audio routing, audio framework integration, DSP processing, and low-level audio subsystem development.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge Android multimedia technologies for global Automotive and Embedded platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Work on Android Audio stack development and integration.
* Develop and debug Audio HAL components and audio routing frameworks.
* Analyze and resolve complex multimedia/audio issues on Android systems.
* Work with Android multimedia frameworks and Linux audio subsystems.
* Collaborate with global engineering teams on multimedia platform integration and optimization.
* Support customer issue analysis, debugging, and root cause investigation.
* Participate in audio feature development and performance tuning.
Required Skills – Android Audio / Multimedia
* Strong experience in Android Audio Stack development.
* Experience in Audio routing and Audio Management on Android systems.
* Hands-on experience with ALSA APIs in Linux.
* Strong understanding of Android audio components including:
* AudioFlinger
* Audio HAL
* Audio Policy
* Stagefright
* OMX Components
* Experience with Android Framework, Native Framework, HAL, and HIDL implementation.
* Good debugging and troubleshooting skills in multimedia/audio systems.
Required Skills – Audio DSP
* Strong understanding of Audio Signal Processing fundamentals.
* Experience with DSP architecture and RTOS concepts.
* Hands-on experience in Audio module development such as:
* Echo Cancellation
* Noise Suppression
* Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
Preferred Skills
* Automotive multimedia/audio platform experience.
* Qualcomm Audio/Multimedia platform exposure.
* Experience with embedded Linux/Android multimedia systems.
* Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
* German language skills are an added advantage
