Job Description
- There is a great need for expertise on Suess Microtec and an opportunity in Field Service Engineering
- The position requires ownership and responsibility for the equipment support globally especially in Asia and US
Responsibilities
- Candidate must have a thorough technical understanding of Suess Microtec equipment
- Candidate must be able to interface and effectively communicate with team members across all PTW Subsidiaries (US, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Austria, Europa etc.)
- Candidate must be able to interface and effectively communicate with our suppliers and especially our customers
- Can demonstrate and has the ability to resolve difficult equipment problems
- Experience in problem solving methods and statistical methods
- Tool refurbishment, installation and qualification
- Identifying and reducing sources of variation
- Preventing and reducing product scrap
- Ability to drive defect reduction
- Improve tool reliability and availability
- Improving equipment monitoring and control to reduce variation
- Developing and writing specifications and standard work documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The candidate will recommend and implement procedures to monitor and improve equipment performance
- Demonstrated skills to solve problems and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement
- Improving the performance of equipment to meet the requirements of customers
- A strong desire to help create a positive, winning, world class working environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of a B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- Prefer five or more years of equipment engineering experience
- Subject matter expert on Suess Microtec
