Vielfältige Aufgaben
As part of EnBW Trading’s Market Analytics team, you will generate fundamental market insights for emerging low-carbon commodities and technologies, supporting strategic decision-making across trading, origination, and risk management in the context of the energy transition with a wide range of tasks
- Own and further develop fundamental models for global ammonia and European hydrogen markets, embedding them in EnBW Trading’s cross‑commodity scenario framework.
- Build and refine data‑driven analyses and scenarios for low‑carbon commodities (e.g. ammonia, hydrogen, biomethane) and technologies (e.g. BESS, CCS) to support trading and origination decisions.
- Collaborate with power and gas analysts to create coherent, integrated energy‑transition views across commodities for our trading books and risk assessments.
- Provide project‑related analytical support to the Energy Transition team, including quantitative contributions to origination deal assessments and new supply structures.
- Monitor, interpret, and communicate key market, regulatory and policy developments in the energy‑transition space and present clear, compelling insights to trading and senior stakeholders.

Convincing profile
- Solid understanding of energy‑transition fundamentals, backed by relevant professional or academic experience in energy or commodity markets.
- Proven track record in fundamental market modelling and quantitative analysis, with confidence in handling complex, large datasets in an energy‑trading context.
- Strong interest in regulation and policy shaping low‑carbon markets; experience in one or more areas such as ammonia/fertilizer, low‑carbon molecules, biomethane, biofuels, CCS or BESS is a plus.
- Ability to distil complex topics into clear narratives, contribute constructively to analytical discussions, and engage closely with trading, origination and risk stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative and service‑oriented mindset, fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Our Trading unit is responsible for the optimal management of EnBW's portfolio, is active in the trading of renewable energies and thus supports the Energiewende. We are also involved in future topics such as hydrogen or smart& digital in trading, as well as in new supply contracts and the management of renewable energies.
